Due Friday, September 13th Last week, 5th grade students were visited by LCSO Deputy Mickens. Deputy Mickens is new to our school. He is also the LCSO for RBMS, so the kids will continue to see him at River Bend next year. He spoke to the kids about the DARE calendar poster contest. I have attached the guidelines below. This is last year's form because we didn't get new ones. Only the due date is different. PLEASE do not let your child use paper larger than 8 1/2" by 11", or their work will be chopped off. I can provide students with additional paper if needed.

This week will be the first week students will receive homework! Homework is given on Monday for the week. We will check each night's homework the next day. Students may work ahead but must have at least each night's assignment completed. It will be collected on Friday. The concepts this week are all fourth grade review. If your child doesn't remember how to do something, please have them speak to me! If your child forgets his/her homework at school, please feel free to print the attached files.
All fifth grade students must create a DARE poster (on a sheet of regular copy paper, no larger) and turn it in according to the guidelines in the photo below. Students should return the posters to their teacher. This assignment sheet was given to each student on Wednesday, August 30th by Deputy Heydens, their DARE officer.
